Gracie Barra 
Gracie Barra is wereldwijd een van de grootste Braziliaans Jiu Jitsu organisaties. Het Gracie Barra team kent 400 black belts, 320 officieel aangesloten scholen (instructeur met bruine of zwarte band BJJ) en bijna 40 aangesloten scholen (instructeur met paarse band BJJ). De organisatie staat onder leiding van Carlos Gracie Jr. de zoon van Carlos Gracie, de eerste Gracie die de originele technieken van Maede geleerd kreeg.
Gracie Barra is een organisatie die is opgezet door Carlos Gracie Jr, een instructeur die tegenwoordig ruim 200 black belts heeft voortgebracht. Centrale doelstelling van Gracie Barra is het trainen van zowel lichaam als geest en het benadrukken van het credo waar het Braziliaans Jiu Jitsu oorspronkelijk op gebaseerd is; ’minimale kracht, maximale effectiviteit’. Professor Carlos Gracie Jr. is naast hoofd van de Gracie Barra Association tevens het hoofd van de International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). Dit is de organisatie die jaarlijks vele interantionale toernooien organiseerd zoals het Europees kampioenschap en het Wereld kampioenschap.
Onder de leiding van Carlos Gracie Jr. is Gracie Barra uitgegroeid tot een organisatie die wereldwijd mensen kennis laat maken en laat genieten van het Braziliaans Jiu Jitsu. Ondanks de groei en verandering, zijn de kernwaarden van Gracie Barra altijd behouden gebleven. Deze waarden zijn de basis voor het succes van Gracie Barra:
Broederschap
Boven alles is Gracie Barra een ‘familie’ waar we trots op zijn om bij te horen. Met elkaar werken we aan een succesvol team, niet alleen regionaal maar ook wereldwijd.
Samenwerking
Binnen de Gracie Barra dojo kennen we geen tegenstanders, alleen trainingspartners. We begeven ons in een leerzame omgeving waarin we onszelf kunnen ontwikkelen, niet alleen als BJJ-beoefenaars, maar tevens als mens.
Discipline
Om iets in het leven te kunnen bereiken is discipline een vereiste. Voor BJJ is dit niet anders. Binnen Gracie Barra wordt de motivatie om discipline te tonen versterkt, zowel binnen als buiten de dojo’s.
Respect
Bij Gracie Barra behandelen we elkaar met warmte en respect. Onafhankelijk van ras, geloof, nationaliteit of andere verschillen. Respect voor de hiërarchie van de rang is daarnaast ook erg belangrijk, de autoriteit van een hogere bander wordt altijd erkend.

Gracie Barra Netherlands. This organisation is headed by black belt Remco Pardoel. Remco was the first to introduce Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Europe and hence in The Netherlands back in 1993. It all started with the invitation of some top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighters and teachers to hold a seminar in Remco’s school in Oss. Later on Remco started teaching BJJ in his gym in Oss under the tutilage of professor Vinicius ‘Draculino’ Magalhaes 
Professor Draculino To this day Gracie Barra Netherlands has a strong connection with professor Draculino, a 4th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, who has produced several world champions including Samuel Braga and Romulo Barral. Professor Draculino is not just affiliated with Gracie Barra Netherlands on paper, but is also actively involved in the club. Professor Draculino regularly visits the Netherlands to give seminars and teach classes. Furthermore, Dutch students of Gracie Barra Netherlands have flown out to Brazil and the United States of America to train with professor Draculino and his students.
